James Atkins Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Atkins of Lafayette, Indiana, who passed away on April 13, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Atkins and Esther Atkins (Dearborn); his wife Mona Terrell; and his siblings, Maurice, Edward, Melvin, Darwin and Louise.
He is survived by: his children, Martin J. Atkins (Sara) of Lafayette, Jennifer Romack (Dean) of Lafayette and Douglas Atkins (Kristi) of Lafayette; his siblings, Ivan Atkins and Ollie Atkins; and his grandchildren, Nicole Romack, Bradley Romack and James David Atkins.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Soller-Baker Funeral Homes & Crematory, Lafayette Chapel (400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN 47909). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
