We are sad to announce that on December 23, 2024, at the age of 97, Elizabeth Patterson of Lafayette, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Elizabeth departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Elizabeth may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Elizabeth leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olton Thomas and Pauline Thomas (Smith); her husband Elmer O. "Pete" Patterson; and her grandson Keith Strickland. She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Strickland (Joel), Thomas Patterson (Liz), Marie Poortinga, Annette Dorroll (John), Michael Patterson (Carolyn) and Rebecca Patterson. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hippensteel Funeral Home (822 N 9th St, Lafayette, IN 47904).
