She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter "Casey" Kirk and Maude Daisy Kirk (Graham); her husband Robert G. Mikels; her children, Shirley Pattengale and William Mikels; her sons-in-law, Raymond Gray and Bobby Taylor; and her sisters, Opal, Edna and Midge.
She is survived by: her children, Rosalie Gray, Jerry Mikels (Judy), Kenneth Mikels (Cheryl) and Marilyn Mikels; and her daughter-in-law Connie Mikels. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 75 great-great grandchildren, and two great-great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hippensteel Funeral Home (822 N 9th St, Lafayette, IN 47904). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the 40 & 8 Child Welfare Program.
