She was predeceased by: her parents, John Whitmore and Marie Whitmore (Clark); her husband James A. Coleman; her son James G. Coleman; and her siblings, Jean Weber, John, Donald, Jerry, Joe and Charles Whitmore.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Knuteson (Miles) of Lafayette, Cheryl Hietpas (Jeff) of Unity and Charleen Coleman-Adams of Ironwood, Michigan; her granddaughters, Katie Stevens (Ryan), Amy Wallace (Josh) and Emily Knuteson; and her great grandchildren, Cameron, Carter Stevens, Braleigh Wallace, Kinley Jo Wallace, Joshie Wallace, Liam Tchoula and Michah Tchoula.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hippensteel Funeral Home (822 N 9th St, Lafayette, IN 47904). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial Contributions for Dolores may be made out to The Salvation Army's Disaster Relief Fund for Hurricane Helene.
