He was predeceased by: his father Lyle Wayne Pettit; and his stepson-in-law Thomas Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Dieterle; his daughters, Christina Rice (Tim) of Columbia City, IN and Kimberly Wilson (Roby) of Santa Clarita, CA; his stepchildren, Kristine Taylor of Lafayette, IN and Scott Dieterle (Jane) of Lafayette, IN; his brother Gene Pettit (Jerri); his mother Edna Pettit (Cunningham); his grandchildren, Nathan, Megan, Shelby, Rachael, Erica, Belle, Chloe and Heath; and his great grandchildren, Gwen, Dani, Jaxon, Josie and Kaycie.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post 492 (4929 IN-43, West Lafayette, IN 47906).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, the Prostate Cancer Foundation or the charity of your choice in his memory.
