She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Ledford (Toney) and Robert Ledford; her son Marcus J. Whitaker; and her siblings, Mary Helen "Helen" Triplett of Joseph Benjamin, David Ledford and Evageline Goswick.
She is survived by: her husband William C. Whitaker; her children, Deborah Bolinger (Greg) of Lafayette and William J. Whitaker of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Chad Correll of Lafayette, Elizabeth Whitaker of Puyalup, WA, Hannah Bolinger of Kokomo, Grason Bolinger of Crown Point, Ryan Whitaker of Lafayette and Lauren Whitaker of Lafayette; her great grandchildren, Brock Correll of Lafayette, Gentry Fields of Kokomo and Paisley Fields of Kokomo; and her sisters, Dauna Holmes of Lafayette, Mildred Switzer of Bellville, IL and Patricia Nelson of Lafayette.
