With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bishop William L. Higi (Lafayette, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Bishop William has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his father Pope John Paul II; his sister Julie Marie Eckstein; and his sister-in-law Noreen Beardmore. He is survived by: his sister Linda Rochelli.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Foundation's Fund for the Future, established by Bishop William Higi.
