He was predeceased by: his father Bobby Joe Smith; his aunt Vicki Lynn Smith; his uncle Donald T. Benge; and his grandparents, Robert L. Smith, Betty Phelps, Donald and Patricia Benge.
He is survived by: his wife Jessica Potts; his children, Grace Elizabeth Smith, Seth Eugene Smith, Maxx Howard Smith, Sophia Nicole Smith and Elija Cole Smith; his mother Evelyn "Lynn" Smith (Benge); and his brothers, Adam Smith and Thomas Lovins (Layla). He is also survived by many friends and family.
