It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Conrad Whitacre (La Porte, Indiana), born in South Bend, Indiana, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnet Whitacre and Loa Whitacre (Geifer); his wife Mildred Harris; his siblings, Sharon Whitacre, Donna Marten and Tim Whitacre; and his grandson Leo Choromokos.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Whitacre of Chicago and Marlene Choromokos of Naperville, IL; and his grandchildren, Alicia and Neil Choromokos.
