He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Singleton and Margaret "Peg" Singleton (Worthington); and his brothers, Gary and Jay Singleton. He is survived by: his wife Betsy Norris Singleton; his children, Walter "Butchie" A. Singleton, Jr. (Cynthia) of Cedar Lake, IN and Jeana M. Mangold (John) of La Porte; his grandchildren, Brittney Mangold of Michigan City, Tyler Singleton of Valparaiso, Rylie Singleton of Paradise Valley, AZ, Mercedes Singleton of Bloomington, IN, Camryn Watt of Flagstaff, AZ and Jaden Mangold of La Porte; his great grandchildren, Riley and Chase; and his sister Penny Nowatzke of Michigan City. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
