It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Sawaya of La Porte, Indiana, born in Waterville, Maine, who passed away on April 27, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Charles Peters and Emma Peters (George); her husband Sam; her daughter Stacy Sawaya; and her siblings, Doug Peters and Nancy Peters.
She is survived by: her children, Stephani Giffin (Brent) of Crown Point, IN, Shannon Zila (Aaron) of La Porte, IN, Shawn Arnsbarger (Kent) of La Porte, IN, Sam Sawaya (Jessica) of Valparaiso, IN, Scott Sawaya (Rachel) of Valparaiso, IN and Steven Sawaya of La Porte, IN; her grandchildren, Sarah Novak, Tori Novak, Whitney Zila, Grant Zila, Samira Arnsbarger, Pierce Arnsbarger, Leila Sawaya, Sophia Affeld, Eloise Sawaya, Elias Sawaya, Simon Sawaya, Hadley Sawaya and Adeline Sawaya; and her great grandchildren, William Langford and Ily Langford.
