With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sharon Grace of La Porte, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sharon left this world on January 27, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Whorwell and Ruth Whorwell (Jones); her husband Joseph Grace; and her siblings, Jack Whorwell (Vivian Tolson) and Ruth Ann Whorwell.
She is survived by: her siblings, Edwin Russell Whorwell (Stella) of Sharonville, OH, Danny Whorwell (Pamela) of La Porte, Betty Crook (David) of Westville, IN and Dawn Werner (Jeffrey) of Union Mills, IN; her stepchildren, Eric Decker (Berry) and Cyndi Oakes; and her grandchildren, Garrett Decker, Nick, Chelsea and Vincent Forkner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Haverstock Funeral Home (602 Maple Ave, La Porte, IN 46350). Viewing will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Patton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in her honor and in honor of the dogs she loved, her Yorkies and her rescue pup, Suzie, to the La Porte Small Animal Shelter and Jane Bernard pet adoption center, 2855 IN-2, La Porte, IN 46350.
