She was predeceased by: her parents, James Short and Gwendolyn Short (Lentz); and her siblings, Janet, Hilda and Jack.
She is survived by: her husband Robert L Bauer of La Porte; her children, Linda Laverne Anderson of Jackson, MI, Scott McRobert (Peggy) of La Porte, IN, Martin Lee McRobert (Jessica) of Portage, Timothy Ray Graham of Jackson, MI and Terry Graham of Westville, IN; her stepsons, Robert Brian Bauer (Jennifer) of Kingsbury, IN and Matthew Jason Bauer of Michigan City, IN; her brother Sam Short of Tecumseh, MI; and her grandchildren, Christina, Miracle, Hope, Preston, Scotty, Jessie, Brea, Courtney, Kelsie, Cheyann, Crystal, Terry Jr., Kendra, Hilda, Kayla and Haley. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
