He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Elza and Phyllis Padgett Jr. (Renfro); his wife Susan Nemeth; his daughter Nancy Jo Harshman; and his brother Gary Padgett.
He is survived by: his son Robert Padgett (Robbie); his stepson Tim Nemeth (Sara) of Kalamazoo, Michigan; his siblings, Sherri Padgett Patrick of La Porte, Kathy Griffin of La Porte and Mark Lowery of Hamlet; and his nephews, Mike and Scott Padgett.
