He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Kooyenga and Anne Kooyenga (Tamminga); and his former wife Anita Kooyenga. He is survived by: his daughters, Alona Frieling (Steve) of Crown Point, Wendy Fedor of Columbus, Kami Geleske (Alan) of La Porte and Amy Moe (Bruce) of La Porte; his grandchildren, Kelli Frieling (Jon Martin), Rachel Keric (David), Jessica Fedor, Kyle Kooyenga (Alyssa Miiller), Dylan Kooyenga (Samantha), Ben Moe, Sam Moe and Kaitlin Jones (Sam); his great grandchildren, Maddie, Cameron, Alison, Ryker and Vanessa; and his sister Linda Ettema (Curt).
