He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Jones and Myrna Jones (Cooney); and his former wife Sandra Jones (Schreiber). He is survived by: his spouse Marion (Harmon-Williamson); his children, Jane Ciara, Brett Jones (Atea) of Muskegon and Brad Jones (Eva Arnett) of La Porte, Indiana; his stepchildren, Thomas Williamson (Eva) of Michigan City, David Williamson (Lori) of Michigan City and Timothy Williamson (Karen) of Portage, Indiana; and his brother Timothy Jones (Sylvia) of Florida. He is also survived by ten step-grandchildren; 17 step-great grandchildren.
