He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Lee and Cynthia Childress (Mason). He is survived by: his wife Gloria May Scholz; and his children, Scott Childress (Susan) of La Porte, Alan Childress (Julie) of La Porte, Paul Childress (Carol) of Porter and Carol Hahn (Ronald) of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
