He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Meyer and Marion Hudson (Clark); his stepfather Minor Hudson; his brothers, Lawrence Hudson and David Hudson; his son Richard Meyer Jr.; and his grandson Aaron Kirk.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Zellers; his children, Judy Kirk (David) of Versailles, Terry Meyer (Teressa) of Winchester, Tammy Meyer of Winchester, Yolanda Smith of Wheaton, Elizabeth Russell (Sean) of St. Petersburg, Nikki Staniszewski (Nathan) of Sawyer and Meagan Bluhm of La Porte; his siblings, Anna Arndt of La Porte, Michael Hudson (Brenda) of La Porte and Minor Hudson Jr. of La Porte; and his cousin Ruth May of Kentucky. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
