He is survived by: his children, Alicia Barnhart (James) of LaPorte, Thomas Kowalczyk (Paul Stearns) of Oakland, David Kowalczyk (Barbara McConnelll) of Crown Point and Marti Coffey (Mark) of Shelbyville; his grandchildren, Nikolas, Lauren Gropp (Brandon), Craig Coffey and Emily Coffey (Avery); and also Carmen Gillick.
