He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip J. Maltby and Gladys R. Maltby (Forbush); his spouse Idalene Jones; and his siblings, Lee Allen and Val Jean Maltby.
He is survived by: his children, Jackie Louise of Walkerton, Gladys Vehrs (Sonny Collinge) of Steger, Jeri Maltby of Steger, Illinois and Michael Maltby (Leona) of Lowell, Indiana; his sister Muriel Peterson of Walkerton; and his half-sister Karol Hystad of Nevada. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
