In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Nicole leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Nicole may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Nekvasil and Linda Nekvasil (Grafford) of Galien, Michigan.; and her sister Becky Nekvasil. She is survived by: her spouse Casimir "Chuck" Janas; her children, Tyler Janas of Michigan City, Allie Janas of La Porte, Cassie Hanrath (Colin) of Michigan City and John Janas of La Porte; and her sisters, Deb Ford (Wendell) of Michigan City, Dawn Schelling (Lee) of Michigan City and Tami Kendall (late Jeffery) of Galien, Michigan..

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel (1117 Indiana Ave, La Porte, IN 46350).
