With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Laymon of La Porte, Indiana, born in Plymouth, Indiana, who passed away on March 11, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Dolohery and Gertrude Dolohery (Poor); her husband Robert Laymon; her son-in-law Richard Messman; and her siblings, Margaret Hamilton, Patricia Thate, Sharon Conley and Alfred Dolohery.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Laymon (Carrie), Patrick Laymon (Carla), John Laymon (Anne), Catherine Messman and Steve Shank (Beth); her grandchildren, Sarah Schenck (Howard), Robert Clark (Allison), Abigail Stickford (Jonathon), Darcey Laymon, Kyle Anne Laymon and Jeffery Shank (Tiffany); her great grandchildren, Zachary, Evan, Grace Anne Nelson and Matilda; and her sister Joan Kammler. She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
