He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Knip and Thelma Agnes Knip (DeFries); and his brother Alan Knip. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Baugh; his children, Rachel Cooper (Cade) of La Porte, Jennifer Hite (Brandon) of Marcellus, Michigan, Brandon DeYoung of Fair Oaks and Taylor DeYoung (Brooke) of DeMotte; his grandchildren, Jacob, Caiya, Elli and Mason; and his siblings, Ruth Koeppen (Bub) and Kenny Knip (Wanda). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the recent Governor's Order, anyone attending the visitation and/or service is required to wear a mask.
