He is survived by: his father Leonel Ruiz, Sr. of La Porte; his children, Ariel Pennington (Tyler) of Houston, TX, Dante Ruiz of Houston, TX and Danielle Alonso (Alex) of Houston, TX; his grandchildren, Alejandro Jr., Adrienne, Daniel, Jax and Mya; his stepfather Rodney Surowiec of La Porte; and his siblings, Lisette Ruiz of La Porte, Lupe Surowiec (Kerry) of La Porte, Greg Surowiec of La Porte, Ricky Ruiz (Sara) of La Porte, Jeramy Ruiz (Joslyn) of La Porte and Roman Ruiz of La Porte.
