It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Byrd of La Porte, Indiana, born in Plant City, Florida, who passed away on August 14, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleve Byrd and Verna Johnson (Beck); the mother of his children Patricia J. Byrd; and his daughter-in-law Missy Byrd. He is survived by: his children, Janice Grace DeLee (Chris) of La Porte, IN and Scott Byrd of Walkerton, IN; his stepdaughter Uju "Faith" Simwawa of Zambia, Africa; his sister Brenda Kilgore (Dale) of Michigan City, IN; and his grandchildren, Jared, Abbie DeLee, Hope and Scott Byrd Jr.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
