He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lane Brubaker and Irene Brubaker (Robinson); his wife Nancy Brubaker (Futrell); his daughter Lacy Kitkowski (Ryan); his grandchildren, Joe, Grace Teller, Gabriel and Graham Kitkowski; his son Benjamin Brubaker; and his brother Tommy Brubaker.
