He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Mills and Mary Mills (Watson); his siblings, Mariann Williams, Richard C Mills (Dickie) and Jerry J. Mills; and his grandparents, Harlan, Florence Watson (Lock), Willard Clifton and Henrietta Mills (Kieffer).

He is survived by: his siblings, Karen Nieto, Lorrie Mills of Tucson, Arizona and Michael Mills of Michigan City, Indiana; his sister-in-law Becky Mills of La Porte, Indiana; his former wife Terri Bartos of La Porte, Indiana; his uncle Charles Watson of Michigan City, Indiana; and his cousin Kathleen Morgan of Knox, Indiana.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
