He was predeceased by: his parents, Garfield Boone and Delilah Boone (Bowman). He is survived by: his children, John Boone Jr. (Rhienna) of La Porte and Justina Boone of Elkhart; his grandchildren, Jessica Boone (Cleston), Ashlee Boone, Abigail Boone and Xoie Boone; his great grandchildren, Athena and Nova Caudill; his former wife Julia Boone of La Porte; and his stepson Terry Voltz of Michigan City.
