He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Willie Cooper Jr.; his wife Lula Cooper (Jeffries); his children, Timothy Cooper, Terrance Cooper, Joe Cooper, Jr., Shane Cooper, David Cooper, Deanna O'Brien and Tania Taylor (Charles); his sisters, Margaret Hunt (Jerry) and Ernestine Goldstein (David); his siblings-in-law, Versie Jeffries, Solomon Jeffries and Ernest Jeffries (Margaret); his son Douglas Jeffries; and his siblings, John Buchanan, Nettie M. Jackson and Sharon Buchanan. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren; four great-grandchild.
