He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen Sue Penny; and his siblings, Curtis, Vernon Penny, MaryLee, Myrtle and Pauline.
He is survived by: his wife Florene Cunningham; his children, Stephen Penny of La Porte and Linda Diane Gilliam of Westville; his grandchildren, Blake Penny, Taylor and Roscoe Gilliam; and his sister Betty Ann Huckaby of Cordele, GA.
