James D. McEwen Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 26, 2023, at the age of 90, James D. McEwen of La Porte, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Claire McEwen and Kathryn McEwen (McCutcheon); his wife Donna Garts; and his siblings, Blaine and Esther.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lori Holtfreter (Jeff) of Hendersonville, TN, Janet Hunter (Conrad) of Mooresville, NC and Karen Bridges (Rick) of Westfield, IN.; his grandchildren, Kali Davis (Grant), James Holtfreter (JJ), Jessica Allen (Josh), Maddie Hunter-Bazin (Max), Kristina Sandefur (Kalup) and Adam Bridges; and his great grandchildren, Kellen, Hunter, Lily, Wilder, Charlie, Harper, Ruby and Otis.
