He is survived by: his parents, Edward Eugene and Virginia May Friant (Richardson); his wife Charlene R. (Keigley); his sons, James E. Friant Jr. (Heather) of La Porte, John E. Friant of South Bend, Samuel M. Friant of South Bend and Gordon F. Friant II of South Bend; his stepson Carl A. Stuckey of Princeton, IL; his sisters, Deborah J. Friant Thorton of La Porte, Tuliea Q. Friant Wittika, La Lainya L. Anderson Jefferies (Scottie) of Jensen Beach, FL and Bonnie J. White (Karen) of Valparaiso; his aunt Sally; and his uncle Francisco Loza. He is also survived by siblings; twenty nine grandchildren; eleven nieces and nephews; and sixteen great nieces and nephews.
