He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Plis and Julia Plis (Pelz); his wife Peggy Earl; his son Russell; and his brothers, Stanley and Walter Plis.
He is survived by: his son Ronald Plis (Kathy DeOrnellas) of Gainesville, Texas; his sister Jean Gresser (Larry) of La Porte; and his stepgranddaughter Erin Tran (Sondi) of Sanger, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
