She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles R. Short and Goldie Irene Short (Fuller); her spouse Richard George Hunsley; her grandchild Grant E. Hunsley, Sr.; and her siblings, Merlin Sampson, Ruth Wilson, Grace Keehn, Juanita Stayback, Dorothy Carpenter, Ethel Cable and Edith Crawford.
She is survived by: her children, Gary R. Hunsley (Kristine) and Christie K. Scott (Mike); her brother Allen Short (Mary Ann); her grandchildren, Phillip G. Scott (Sabrina), Carrie K. Hunsley (Jeff), Amanda R. Simmons (Brian), Brendon L. Scott (Kaite), Lindsay McCullough, Whitney M. VanAsdall (Mike) and Kirby Lloyd; and her great grandchildren, Daniel R. Scott, Jaylin Simmons, Teja Simmons, Austin VanAsdall, Cody Scott, Miya Simmons, Grant Hunsley, Jr., Ryland VanAsdall, Elias Ryan, Lundin VanAsdall and Eli Scott. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nine additional great-grandchildren.
