It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Evelyn Leffew (La Porte, Indiana), born in Harriman, Tennessee, who passed away on April 12, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Floyd and Tennie Belle Stegall (McGaha); her husband Lawrence Leffew; and her sibling Garret. She is survived by: her daughters, Jacqueline Murnane (Bob) of La Porte, Rhonda Leffew (Jeff Ash) of La Porte, Patricia Leffew (Jim Toth) of Michigan City, Karen Wood (Don) of Albuquerque, NM and Joy Whitney (Wayne) of Port St; her grandchildren, Adam Murnane (Kara), Jennifer Wright (Jim), Lisa Roberts, Tracy Renae', Jason Murnane, Joanna Krown (Eddy), Rodney Leffew, Amy Young (Dan Harrah), Jeremy Wood, Christina Wood, Taylor Whitney and Scott Whitney; her great grandchildren, Justice, Jules, Jurzie, Jude Krown, Ashley, Austin, Autumn Roberts, Alexis, MaKayla, Melody, Layla Murnane, Colin, Kyle, Han Wright, Megan Nussbaum (Matt), Laney and Ben King; her sister Pauline Stegall Clowers; and her grandchildren, George Stegall, Clarence Stegall, John "Red" Stegall, Millard "Bug" Stegall, Betty Stegall and Ruby Stegall Nelson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to guidelines established by the State of Indiana in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family visitation will be held.
