She was predeceased by: her parents, James Isaac Wallace and Roselee Wallace (Woods); her spouse Glen Douglas Hammons; her son Michael Hammons; her sisters, Irene "Cotton" Daughtery, Bernice Massengill and Josephine Duncan; and her grandson Eric Levondowski.
She is survived by: her children, Rickey D Hammons (Judith) of La Porte, IN, Glen Hammons of La Porte, IN, Sherry Sosinski (Loran) of La Porte, IN, Rita Woods of La Porte, IN and Kathy Hammons (Terrie Dohner) of Saginaw, MI; and her grandchildren, Rickey J. Hammons (Ally), Jennifer Beerwart (Danny), Carrie Howard, Glen Hammons (Sara) and Michael Hammons (Jessica). She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
