It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Bedwell of La Porte, Indiana, born in Carlisle, Indiana, who passed away on September 19, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Boone and Pauline Boone (Neal); her children, Dennis Ray Bedwell and Judy Darlene Bedwell; and her brothers, Lowell, Norval, Allen, Donis and Carl Bedwell.

She is survived by: her spouse Bobbie Lee Bedwell; her sons, Roger Bedwell (Debra) of Noblesville, IN and Darin Bedwell (Lisa) of La Porte, IN; her brother Gary Boone (Elaine) of Linton, IN; her grandsons, Tyler Bedwell (Sarah) and Seth Bedwell; and her great grandchildren, Ella and Mia Bedwell.

“Dear Family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Doris's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. My name is Ann Leis and I am writing a book on Dewees Cochran. Doris was one of the Dewees Cochran Foundation's artist and help to create dolls for the foundation. We spoke a couple of years ago about her work. I tried contacting her just today to ask a question only to learn of her passing. I have talked about her in my book and would LOVE to have a nice photo of her. Do you have an image I could use?”
