He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Machler; and his brothers, Ronald Machler, George Machler, Robert Machler, Douglas Machler and Phil Machler.
He is survived by: his children, Karen A. Towle of La Porte, Linda S. Machler of La Porte and Charles A. Machler of Orlando, FL; his stepdaughters, Nancy Jeglic of Maywood, NJ and Julie Jeglic (David Gugelev) of Hackensack, NJ; his sisters, Sylvia Thompson of La Porte and Lillian Norton of Mill Creek; his grandchildren, Jennifer Morris (Chuck), Linden Lantz (Jennifer), Linissa Wirtes (Michael), Delaina Kinnison (Brad), Ryan, Eric and Josh Towle; and his great grandchildren, Sammie Morris, Joseph Lantz, Lois Lantz, Keegan Wirtes, McKenzie Wirtes and Logan Towle.
