He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald L. Hickey, and Floreca M. Hickey, Sr. (Lindsey); his granddaughter Chloe E. Majcher; and his siblings, Eva M. Buchanan, Shirley O Anderson, LaVerne E. and Harry F. Hickey.
He is survived by: his children, Paul D. Hickey (Debbie) of La Porte, Christopher J. Hickey (Paige Snider) of Washington, D. C. and Laurie B. Majcher (Joseph) of Jarabacoa, D. R.; his grandchildren, Stella Grace Snider-Hickey of Washington, D. C., J. Samuel Majcher of Jarabacoa, D. R., Levi Z. Majcher of Jarabacoa, D. R. and Sarah E. Majcher of Jarabacoa, D. R.; and his brother James S. Barfield (Karen) of Jacksonville, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center (2900 Monroe St, La Porte, IN 46350). A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
