She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Ott and Ida Mae Ott (Long); her husband William F. Nichols; her sisters, Dorothy Nichols, Elzora Hawkins, Betty Tyler and Lula Bell; and her son-in-law Larry Szymkowski.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Szymkowski of Michigan City, Deborah Jones (Ralph) of Rolling Prairie and Garry Nichols (Paula) of Trail Creek; her sisters, Helen Schaible of La Porte and Mary Williams of Mesquite, TX; her grandchildren, Danny, LaDonna, Brian, Phillip, Garry, Josh and Jenny; and her great grandchildren, Mary Jayne, Colin, Lilianna, Dominic, Bailee, Lily, Camie, Calie, Aubrey, Adalynn, Gavin, Kevin, Kayla, Koral, Kyle, Taylor, Travis, Danielle, Brittany and Nicole. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
