It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Ethel McCarty of La Porte, Indiana, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald M. Stepp and Martha Gladys Stepp (Kuykendall); and her daughter Janice McCarty. She is survived by: her daughters, Kristina McCarty of La Porte and Kimberly Marks (Richard) of Hobart, Indiana; her siblings, Gary Stepp (Donna) of Dallas, Edward Stepp of Carlton, Oregon and Brenda Marez of Carlton, Oregon; her grandchildren, Ashley McCarty, Lyndze Peterson, Katelyn Marks and Hailey Marks; and her great grandchild Ameila Castillo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel (418 Washington St, Michigan City, IN 46360). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
