He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Earl Trickler and Esmerelda Trickler (Trost); his wife Betty Rathbun; his children, Alice Palmer (Wilson) of Cincinnati, Ann McNulty (Jock) of Lynnwood and John Trickler (Vicki) of La Porte; his stepchildren, Jeffory Rathbun, Ronald Rathbun, Kathie Hiatte and Richard Rathbun; and his sister Gloria Hartley of Oak Harbor, Washington. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the La Porte First United Methodist Church, 1225 Michigan Avenue, La Porte, IN 46350.
