She was predeceased by: her parents, Ferdinand Dierendonck and Rosa Van Dierendonck (Pickavet); her husband Lawrence J. Hertges; and her brothers, Albert, George, Maurice and James Van Dierendonk.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Fara (Tom) of La Porte, Indiana, Carol Howard (Ed) of La Porte, Indiana, Thomas Hertges (Diane) of La Porte, Indiana and Ronald Hertges (Judy) of La Porte, Indiana; her grandchildren, Nicole McDonald, Heather LaGault, Stacy Bell, Larry Howard, Jon Howard, Chad Hertges, Thomas Hertges Jr., Tyler Fara, Tim Fara and Trent Fara; and her sister Joan Wilhelm. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
