With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anthony Joel Shannon of La Porte, Indiana, who passed away on March 22, 2025 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father George J. Shannon; his sister Phyllis L. Lucas; and his stepfather William H. Hatchel. He is survived by: his mother Helen G. Shannon-Hatchel (Shoffner); his sons, Joel Shannon of Georgia and Gabriel Camacho of New Mexico; his aunt Della Parrish of Hamlet; and his niece Melissa Dunfee of La Porte.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Calendar Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center (2900 Monroe St, La Porte, IN 46350). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
