It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allene A. Welkie (La Porte, Indiana), who passed away on December 5, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde E. Andrews and Vera Andrews (Dye); her siblings, Clyde Elton Andrews of Michigan City, IN, Dr. Edwin Andrews of Rexford, NY and Eva Jane Szoke of Valparaiso, IN; her nephew Stephen Andrews; and her siblings-in-law, Sandor Szoke and Lois Andrews (Clyde Elton) of Michigan City, IN..
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Bev Andrews; her nieces, Susan McKay (Kelly), Beth Peters (Kevin) of Crown Point and Jennifer McKenna (John) of Scotia, NY; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jackson Peters, Roenick Peters, Tom McKenna, Katie McCarthy, Kerry McCarthy and Abigail McKenna; and her cousin Jim Carpenter (family: Billie, George Callas, Mercedes Brashear).
