We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Phyllis Kuhrts in Kouts, Indiana, born in Valparaiso, Indiana. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Pearson and Olga Pearson (Walberg); her siblings, June Barber, Evelyn Birchfield, Lucille Buehler, Nancy LaShomb and George Pearson; and her former husband Raymond Kuhrts.

She is survived by: her children, Raymond "Chip" Kuhrts (Teresa) of Colorado, Tracy McMillan (Devin) of Lafayette, IN and Dana Shields (Nikolas) of Valparaiso, IN; and her grandchildren, Kasey, Sebastian, Layne, Jaimeson, Reagan, Presley and Charlotte.

Due to Covid, a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later.

Memorial donations may be made to the Porter County Animal Shelter.

She was one of my first friends when I moved to Kouts and joined St Paul Lutheran Church. We have kept in touch via text and my last text from her was November 19th asking me how I was doing. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers and may God wrap His loving arms around you and bring you strength and comfort. Memories eternal- Kris Shocaroff”
