He was predeceased by: his grandmothers, Marilyn Pfledderer and Janet Hunt; and his brother Adam Pfledderer. He is survived by: his parents, John W. Pfledderer and Karen Pfledderer (Hunt) of Kouts; his sister Cindy Simpson of Kouts; his nieces and nephews, Savanah, Nick, Mallory Simpson and Adelyn Thomas; his grandfathers, Raymond Pfledderer and Donald Hunt; and his aunts and uncles, Thomas Pfledderer (Becky), Scott Pfledderer (Vicky), Sarah Covington (David), Sharon Reed (Al), Vicky Lancaster (Greg) and Donna Carpenter (Chris).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Opportunity Enterprises.

“I am so sorry for your loss. I worked at the Boone Grove schools in special education, and fondly remember John and working with him there. Later I also worked at Opportunity Enterprises and was delighted to run into John there. While I never worked directly with John at OE, I always would go up and talk to him whenever I saw him, and we would talk about the weather and reminiscence about his days at Boone Grove. I will miss him, as I know you will. Nancy Cook”
