It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy D. Knopf of Kouts, Indiana, born in Crown Point, Indiana, who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Knopf and Florence Knopf (Frickie); and his siblings, Marge, Mary-Lou and Julian.

He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Krueger; his children, Jim Knopf (Gail) of Kouts, Diane Smith of Kouts and Celeste Serrano (Lynn) of Kouts; his grandchildren, Diana Wray, Scott Wray (Stephanie), Amy Lacey (Chris), Tim Knopf, Kristina Rasala (Andy) and Katy Serrano; and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Haley, Hunter, Dominic, Drew, Dawson, Annabelle and Levi.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family for the long-term care of Jim's great-grandson, Dylan.
