It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Hefner of Kouts, Indiana, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on February 22, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elaine Hefner to pay them a last tribute.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Szikora and Marilyn Szikora (Brozak); her children, Michael Lane (Teresa) of Kouts, John Lane of Kouts and Elmo Hefner of Kouts; her grandchildren, Payton and Tristan Lane; her great grandchild Shane Michael; and her siblings, Marilyn Rosenbaum (George) of Wanatah, Jeanette Buzalski of Chesterton and Jerry Szikora (Sue) of Valparaiso. She was also cherished by many nieces & nephews.
