He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oscar D. Brooks and Patricia M. Brooks (Decker); his wife Linda Simmelink; his children, Jessica Denny (Michael) of Valparaiso, Julie McGreevy (Morgan) of Austin, TX and Evan Brooks of Kouts; his grandchildren, Gavin, Elizabeth and Caroline; his siblings, Wayne Brooks of Grand Rapids, MI, Brent Brooks (Roxanne) of West Branch, MI, Lori Brooks of Cass City, MI and Sally Alban (David) of Big Rapids, MI; and his pets, Alex and Phoebe. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
